Acupuncture Therapy

Acupuncture is a practice of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM),

which involves the insertion of very thin, long, metallic needles

into the skin to stimulate certain points on the body. The needles

may be manipulated by a qualified practitioner’s hands or by

electrical stimulation.

Acupuncture is used to correct imbalances in the flow of energy,

also known as our chi or qi. In TCM, it’s believed that our chi

flows through pathways in our bodies called meridians, which

correlate to both nerve stimulation and various ailments. There

are also specific pressure points where acupuncture needles

can be inserted to restore balance.
